No matter if you're on PSN or Xbox Live, EA keep control of their own servers, which is very scary.
First, they want to sell their new versions of each franchises they own, every years, even if only line up are changing... So they shut down their own servers after two years, so you have to buy those newer versions.
And now, we have to worry about how they maintain their servers during the two years they leave them on!!!
Very sad from EA.
You want a FPS, you can use the Unreal engine.
You want a racer, you can use the Unreal engine.
You want a fighting game, you can use the Unreal engine.
There's really not much this engine can do...
Wondering when the next PacMan will come out, built on the Unreal engine!
Epic's engine is simply awesome.

This is a review posted in the PS3 section ONLY. It's not crossposted across the board. It's a game quite specific to the PS3. Yet, you will see Chris, Bloodmask, Power of Green, Mart, Firsknight, Bladestar, and friends showing up to comment this article, bash the PS3 and praise their 360.
So either:
1- There's no good games on the 360 and they have nothing else to do
2- Their 360 is at the shop...
It's a card game!!! Either the reviewer is used to play solitaire on his PC, or he has no grasp of what a card game is!
Magic the Gathering sold millions, even pokemons did pretty good. Yet, unless you had a friend at home, you had to go somewhere else to play.
This is the first card game ever where you'll be able to play from your home against somebody from across the world. I don't think this reviewer is grabbing this concept.

If you had a Canon or a Nikon in the past and liked it, you will look at Canon or a Nikon ...
You make me laugh... You're saying that because Sony sold "only" about six millions consoles worldwide in one year, devs should jump ship!
Then please explain to me: Why would devs would have not jumped ship when the 360 had only sold 6 millions consoles after one year???

Paramount could not have hidden the 150 millions they got for switching side. It has to show in accounting somewhere.
Same thing with GTA4... When millions swith hands, they have to show up as a minus somewhere and a plus somewhere else...
Best way to really buy exclusivity is still to buy the dev. All three consoles manufacturers are good at this!
And then you get some twists, like Peter Moore going to EA, and EA buying everything that can line u...

Seriously now, the biggest problem is not between 360 and PS3. It has been said thousands of time. The Wii is stealing most devs. It will become more and more obvious in 2008... I like the Wii. But I'm not sure it's such a great thing for us gamers!
Poor David Dennis was the one who had to annonce the recall on the 360 Wireless Steering wheel because it was going in smoke, just two months ago... He is also the one who had to confirm that many Halo dvds came out of the box with scratches, this month.(though he called them bleemish : )
So can he gloat now? If I was in his pants, I would. It's better to talk about this, than smoke coming out of steering wheels or defective games out of the box.

I've bought many games on first day release. Usually, I'm in and out of the store in 21 seconds sharp. If I want a game so badly, I don't spend time shopping around as it would cut my precious playing time.
Then this guy is basically telling us that people going to buy Halo 3 would also pick-up a PS3 while they were there... Talk about impulse buying!!!
You likely have much better odds to win the 6/49 than finding somebody who went into a store to buy Halo 3, an...
For him, playing cards is something you do alone with your PC ; )
Also find strange that he claims you can photocopy the cards. I would have assumed that every reviews so far would mention it. Who would not try it. Particularly since they claim it cannot be done. And you know what happen if somebody tells you it cannot be done? Everybody try it just to make sure!
